Une nouvelle collaboration avec la société portugaise Ceramica da Borralheira
Notre collection de vaisselle en grès modulaire CYLINDRES, créée en 2005, a été relancée au salon maison&objet de janvier 2018 avec de nouveaux émaux. On y retrouve tout l’esprit de la collection : le côté formel du CYLINDRE et sa fonction modulaire contrebalancés par la touche artisanale et aléatoire de l’émaillage du grès.
En partant d’une forme minimale, il est possible de créer une infinité d’ensembles complexes, et chacun peut s’approprier le CYLINDRE qui devient un élément de créativité. Pour cuisiner, servir, manger, ranger… Une assiette se transforme en couvercle. Un saladier devient cocotte. Une assiette sert de plateau. Un saladier est aussi un bol.Les ensembles servent de boîtes, s’emboîtent pour ranger, garder au chaud ou au frais.
Les meilleurs chefs s’en sont servi pour habiller leurs tables — Alain Ducasse, Gérald Passédat, Joël Robuchon, Yannick Delpech… Et beaucoup ont couronné leurs tables, étagères et cuisines de sculptures pratiques et fonctionnelles faites de nos CYLINDRES.
Les nouvelles pièces sont parfaitement compatibles avec les premières. Vous pouvez donc continuer à sculpter avec les nouvelles couleurs.
N’en pleurez plus. Nos cylindres sont de retour.
La meilleure nouvelle dans tout cela : la distribution est reléguée au fabricant, Ceramica da Borralheira. Ceci implique que les prix sont bien plus beaux aussi, très attractifs et plus accessibles pour une qualité non compromise, artisanalement belle.
Ceramica da Borralheira est une entreprise familiale qui met en avant le talent, le savoir- faire artisanal portugais. Grâce à leur passion du métier, nous avons vécu une riche expérience pour refaire de nouveaux émaux dans l’esprit original de la collection. Pour la petite histoire, les premiers CYLINDRES ont été tournés à la main au Nicaragua pour faire ensuite leur chemin en France.
Aujourd'hui ils sont fabriqués au Portugal.

We’re happy to tell you we have a new partnership with the portuguese company Ceramica da Borralheira. Our modular, stoneware collection ©2005 was relaunched at maison&objet January 2018 with beautiful, new glazes.
You’ll see that the essence of the collection is all there: its conventional shape, the CYLINDER, with its modular and practical use counterbalanced with the random and traditional glazing of stoneware. Thanks to this simple shape, we can create an infinite and complicated series of ensembles.
Anyone can make this shape their own by using it as a tool of creativity to cook, to serve, to eat, to put away on shelves… A plate turns into a lid. A salad bowl goes in the oven. A plate becomes a platter. A salad bowl can be used as a soup plate. The ensembles make up stacked boxes to keep food warm or cold.
The best chefs have used our CYLINDRE collection to dress their tables — Alain Ducasse, Gérald Passédat, Joël Robuchon, Yannick Delpech… Many people have crowned their tables, shelves and kitchen cabinets with useful sculptures using our CYLINDRES.
The new pieces are perfectly compatible with the first ones. You may continue to sculpt away.
So stop crying. Our CYLINDRES are back.
The best news of all is that Ceramica da Borralheira, the manufacturer, will be distributing the stoneware directly. This means that without compromising quality, prices are beautiful too.
Ceramica da Borralheira is a family run business exemplary of talented portuguese crafts. Working on the new glazes with them has been a rich and fantastic experience because of their passion for tradition and stoneware. The new enamels reflect the original design of the collection. As a side note, the first CYLINDRES were hand-turned in Nicaragua and made their way to France.
They are now made in Portugal.
